Brian Karem

JOIN US ON FEBRUARY 28TH:  GENERAL MEETING WITH JOURNALIST BRIAN KAREM  and Premiere of Film “The First 100”

Brian J. Karem is an award-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated reporter, and author of seven books. His book, Free the Press, now in its third printing, examines the challenges facing modern journalism and outlines solutions to restore the power of a free press. He is also the co-author of Revenge with Michael Cohen.

Brian is widely recognized for asking former President Donald Trump whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power just weeks before the 2020 election. The exchange later became part of the January 6 Committee’s proceedings.

WHAT:

Our general meeting will begin with announcements and a discussion of our plans moving forward.

We are honored to welcome keynote speaker Brian Karem, who will share his perspective on how journalism has evolved over the past 40 years. He will discuss the changing dynamics of covering the White House, his experience going to jail in defense of the First Amendment, what it means to challenge those in power, and the critical changes needed to ensure journalism not only survives—but thrives—in the years ahead.

A Q&A session with Brian will follow his remarks.
