Calls to Action

FEDERAL

Call Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul and tell them:

TO SUPPORT SB 1365, which would close a loophole by banning federal contracts or grants to any company where a government insider owns more than 5%.

TO OPPOSE COMFIRMATION of Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano who lied under oath in his confirmation hearing about coordinating with DOGE to create the current chaos in the Social Security Administration.

TO FIGHT to save Freedom of the Press. The DOJ just revoked protections that once shielded journalists from being forced to reveal their sources, clearing the way for the Trump administration to jail reporters over stories it doesn’t like. And at CBS News, the top “60 Minutes” producer was pushed out because Paramount, CBS’s parent company, wants Trump’s approval to complete a billion dollar merger with Skydance.

TO OPPOSE defunding Head Start and heating assistance, both targeted in Trump’s draft budget.

TO STAND UP FOR JUDICIAL INDEPENDENCE after the Trump administration’s actions regarding the arrest of a sitting judge in Milwaukee.

TO OPPOSE HB22, the SAVE Act, which is an attempt at mass disenfranchisement, disguised as an election integrity bill, requiring every voter to show proof of citizenship bearing their current name when registering to vote. This would end online and mail-in voter registration. It means showing a certified birth certificate or valid U.S. passport and a government-issued photo ID. The last name on the birth certificate must match the person’s current name.

TO RETURN Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the other people who were deported to El Salvador without due process. Make sure they see this as a core civil liberties issue.  This is a look into a future where people can be disappeared because Trump says so, where due process also disappears, where law disappears. Speak out against Trump’s defiance of the Supreme Court.

Call Morgan McGarvey and tell him:

TO RETURN Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the other people who were deported to El Salvador without due process. Make sure they see this as a core civil liberties issue. This is a look into a future where people can be disappeared because Trump says so, where due process also disappears, where law disappears.

TO VOTE NO to the elimination of federal funding for PBS and NPR and to the measure that would force them to give back $1.1 billion in past funding.

TO RESTORE NIH funding and staffing and stop the political interference of the science that drives improved health.

TO STAND UP FOR JUDICIAL INDEPENDENCE after the Trump administration’s actions regarding the arrest of a sitting judge in Milwaukee.

TO OPPOSE defunding Head Start and heating assistance, both targeted in Trump’s draft budget.

TO OPPOSE deep-sea mining in U.S. and international waters. This is a direct assault on the ocean floor. It rips up fragile ecosystems, threatens marine life, and could trigger irreversible climate consequences.

TO RESTORE federal bargaining rights by passing the Protect America’s Workforce Act.

TO STOP CUTS to NIOSH. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health researches worker exposures to heat and wildfire smoke, workplace violence, back injuries and other chronic diseases, and state-of-the-art technologies that keep workers safe in mines.

YOU APPRECIATE his responsiveness to his constituents.
