Compassion is not just a feeling. It is a decision. To listen, to have empathy, to speak up, to say “your pain matters even if it is not mine.” During October, our All Peoples community will be exploring compassion and Rev. Bruce Beisner will speak to us about some of the ways that the teachings and practices of Unitarian Universalism and other world religions can encourage us to make that decision to open our hearts to others each and every day.
