Traditional concepts of “salvation” are centered on one’s personal relationship with a god and one’s destiny in the next life. Modern Universalism teaches us that salvation is about the here and now. It is a communal, rather than individual, state of being. Our radical understandings of salvation have implications to how we live and who we strive to become in this world.
