Kentucky’s Own Electric Vehicle Group
Evolve KY members are electric vehicle owners and enthusiasts. All Peoples members have started joining because our values of sustainability and clean energy align with Evolve KY’s. The organization offers monthly meetings at All Peoples that feature interesting speakers, put on great community events such as Louisville Drive Electric Week, and promote its very popular Adopt a Charger program (acquiring fee-free level 2 chargers installed in and around Louisville) and throughout the year, it is involved in many other interesting projects (its members are energetic, creative and passionate).
On June 8, 2018, All Peoples officially dedicated its on-site electric vehicle chargers to the memory of Geoffrey Crofts, an environmental advocate and beloved member of the church. Evolve KY installed its electric vehicle chargers -the chargers are the first ones installed at a place of worship in the state of Kentucky. The church’s chargers are located at the back of the church property and are free for public use.
There are many reasons to drive electric:
- A zero-emission vehicle means less pollution and less associated health-related issues such as asthma.
- They are blissfully quiet.
- They are chock full of the latest technology.
- You can even pre-heat and pre-cool your car remotely.
- You will spend significantly less money on fuel and maintenance.
- There are electric vehicles at just about every price point.
- They are fast, responsive and really fun to drive!
