WINTERFAIR!   GENERAL OVERVIEW FOR ARTISTS

WinterFair! hosts over 70 artists in two church buildings (plus Bold & Cold artists outdoors!).  Artists will join our all original fine art and crafts show including ceramics, wood, mixed media, fiber art, photography, painting, wearables, sculpture, metals, glass, jewelry and much more.  Artists showing at Kentucky Crafted and the Louisville Artisans Guild are jury-exempt. 

In addition to superb artwork, WinterFair! offers artists and shoppers:

  • THE WINTERFAIR CAFÉ offers a varied menu including a vegetarian selection, homemade soups, chili, delicious hot dogs and a variety of homemade baked goods. The Café also features a dining area for patrons to rest and enjoy their meals. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available while the Café is open.

  • POPULAR ART RAFFLE supports a worthy local charity.  Art items are donated by our generous artists before the first day begins and 100% of the profit from publicly sold raffle tickets goes to the designated charity.  The artists’ donations (complete with booth name and location number) encourage customers to seek out the artists for sales!

 

Guidelines and Perks for WinterFair Artists:

  • WF ROVING VOLUNTEERS are available during the show. Roving Volunteers wear WinterFair tags and can be sent to BOOTH SIT while you take a short break.

 

  • SHUTTLE PARKING FOR ARTISTS- Artist Parking is offsite so shoppers may have close up parking.  Shuttles will transport you before, during and after the show to/from your car.  On Friday shuttles will guide you to the remote artist parking starting at 10:30am.  Maps of remote parking are provided with your artist’s packet before the event.

 

  • ARTIST COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST- On Saturday before WinterFair opens we offer a free complimentary breakfast to our artists to thank them for their effort. Artists get a chance to meet together to share conversation before the last day begins.  Parking will still be offsite.  Shuttle Drivers will be waiting to transport you from your assigned parking lot to our front door!  No on-site artist parking please!  This will be strictly monitored.   Breakfast will be served from 7:45am-8:45am in plenty of time for the beginning of the art show at 9am.

 

  • WINTERFAIR PROMOTIONS- Graphic designs are now available for our artists to share with customers at upcoming shows and online during the season before WinterFair.

 

  • ARTIST PREVIEW ALBUM ON WINTERFAIR’S FACEBOOK PAGE– Accepted participating artists will be invited to share up to 4 photos of their artwork for the Artists’ Preview Album. Your media platforms may also be shared to offer customers a chance to purchase from you after WinterFair!  This preview album draws customers! – email your photos after paying for your booth reservation!

 

  • WINTERFAIR MAP LOCATION OF ARTIST BOOTHS- With advance booth assignments, artists’ booth numbers and locations will be listed and found on maps throughout the buildings in EACH

  • AFTER HOURS: The building will be locked and lit overnight and security checks will be made periodically throughout the night for our Bold & Cold booths. Artwork is secured in the way that is best for our artists.
