I am also attaching my Notes on Chapter5 of Jebara’s book. This chapter is of critical importance in understanding the mission and message of Prophet Muhammad. In it Jebara presents his translation/interpretation of some very important Qur’anic texts which are at variance with how these texts have been understood in Muslim tradition. In my Notes I have included the interpretation/translation of the same texts by Muhammad  Asad whom I regard as the best English exegete of the Qur’an. I will discuss the differences between the viewpoints of Jebara and Asad in our discussion and also state my own. (I am also resending my Notes on Chapter 4 in case some of you want to review them before our meeting)
