As we honor the coming of Memorial Day, we will consider how often war and conflict are the result of political and social narratives that are based on false information. People fight for what they believe to be true, but “truth” can be far from an objective thing. What stories and ideas drive us in our work for peace and why is having facts to support our positions rarely enough to overcome harmful myths that divide and harm us?
