As was clear from our last meeting, everyone is enjoying reading Mohamad Jebara’s captivating novel which takes us into various areas and dimensions of Prophet Muhammad’s life. To highlight what seem to me significant points to ponder with reference to
important historical, social and personal aspects of the narrated story, I have prepared notes on Chapters One and Two which I am attaching. Please let me know if you find them to be of interest and use.

I hope you are well. As you know, at our last Book-Movie Club/ Interfaith Study Group meeting on September 21, 2022, we began our review of MUHAMMAD, THE WORLD-CHANGER: AN INTIMATE PORTRAIT, by MOHAMAD JEBARA, and discussed the INTRODUCTION and PART I: ROOTS OF THE MINDSET of the book. PART 1 includes Chapter 1 (A Unique Name), Chapter 2 (The Orphan), and Chapter 3 (The Apprentice).
In our upcoming meeting on October 12, 2022, we will discuss PART II: FORMING THE MINDSET which includes Chapter 4 (The Impresario),
Chapter 5 (The Prophet) and Chapter 6 (Boycott).
I hope you are enjoying your assigned readings. Rev. Kathleen Owens who could not be with us on our last meeting will be sharing her thoughts about the book. Anyone who wishes to share any comments on any aspect or part of the book, is welcome to do so.
